Glimpses of yesterdays

There’s something wrong with Katherine’s new job as a tour guide for the historic Wildey Theater. Her first tour group seems nice enough: three young friends and a small family. But something feels odd, and she can’t tell if it’s her… or the building itself. She loves the Wildey’s long history and everything it stands for, but a mysterious presence soon shows her dark glimpses – painful memories from wars decades in the past.

In a theater where wonderful stories were once shared on the stage and screen, Katherine now sees moments of suffering and fear – and these shadows on the walls might not be what they seem.

Meet the cast

Written and directed by Ian Robert Smith

Ian Robert Smith has been acting since he was a child, appearing in local and community theater before graduating to larger roles. Smith attended SIUE and studied in the theater and acting performance program. He has worked with Curtains Up! Theatre, SIUE’s Summer Showbiz, and the Student Experimental Theatre Organization (SETO). More recently he worked with the Goshen Theater Project on The Hunchback of Notre Dame and played main antagonist McDoon in The Trail to Oregon. His first film credit was The Final Act (2020), written and directed by Rahul Menon. In 2023, Smith was on the production design team for Your Last Wishes by Mason Beck. He formed Stormy Castle Productions in 2025 with Brett Campbell, and Glimpses of Yesterdays is their first production.
